I have read quite a few of really good I/R novels and there are definitely some really great authors that wrote them, BUT, BOMAW, is like no other I/R novel I have ever read. It is raw, funny, real and just down home good. I have only read Volumes I and II and I can't wait to move on to the next volume. For all of you who enjoy reading I/R novels, this one is a must. I have never laughed so hard and also a little angry at times, this book has it all. This book has everything that you would want in a novel. I really felt like I was living and experiencing life with the McPherson family. Mercedes Keyes (Lawrence James) you are definitely a gifted author!

What a page turner !! This is book 2 and I must say another great read Ms. Keyes looking forward to book 3
I've deemed this whole series as Awesome. Love it, love it, love it theres no other way to state it.
5 stars all the way... Shawn and Sylvia and the love they have is so powerful! You can literally feel it. From laughing to crying to laughing again. Shaking my head all the way at how realistic and oh so hot this series is. I loved them all and M. Keyes you did not disappoint at all.
If book one wasn't enough for you. They pick up the pace in book two in this melo-drama. When I tell you the plot thickens and things get even more off the chain!!! I love it love it. I do however have one gripe the cussing and usage of the G-D word...It grates me but I overlook that because the book is good...
I'm loving the Bowman Series so far. There's never a dull moment with the families, lovers or friends. I can't wait to get to book three. Thanks Mercedes Keyes.
My God what beautiful writing. I am on book 2, and I have never laughed and cried so much in reading this series. The way that Shawn loves Sylvia is beyond beautiful. M. Keys is one of the best writers that I have read in a very long time. At the moment I am reading 1 through 5, I find it so hard to stop reading for wanted to know What will happen next. I don't know why this series is not getting more reviews. I can not give BOMAW BOOKS 1 and 2 anything less then 5 stars.
The story line was excellent, much better than seeing a soap's story on television. The main characters are Sylvia and Shawn and a host of relatives and friends. There is a lot of humor in many of the exchanges between the characters.

I would recommend investing in getting the entire series, volume 1 -11; you will find it is well worth the investment!
