Will they finally give into each other or will his stubbornness get in the way?This book had me cheering for Taylor as she wouldn’t put up with the fallen Angels crap and she also didn’t put up with Renegade ‘s either . she was a strong women who like to do it on her own but when she couldn’t she hated being in that spot. She was a spitfire and Renegade was stubborn and he felt like he was betraying Ace if he did anything with Taylor but that was something he needed to deal with or he was going to loose the only women he has ever loved can he let go of the ghost?.
I was so happy for this book to come out after reading inferno. My heart broke for Renegade and wanted to take him in my arms and thought wow Taylor lost her mind for a bit lol. Leslie is proving she is writing some of the best mc books around and I love this series and would love to have one those men

While this and the previous novel in this series are both complete stories, there is a continuous ongoing back story that makes the second book make better sense of the story if the reader has read the first book. While these main characters were not featured in book one there is an unmistakable connection with characters and happenings in the previous story. There are some new issues and more of an up and down kind of emotional component here that can become somewhat trying as some of the dialogue gets redundant in places. That being said, this a story that is solidly rooted in the story of two really good people whose griefs and wounds stand to be a serious barrier or they can be the foundation upon which can be built a solid and lasting relationship. It is a very good read.

Renegade has always had a thing for his best friend’s sister Taylor ever since the day he met her. But out of respect for Ace and the demons from his past, he never pursued anything more than just a friendship with Taylor. Meanwhile, Taylor has wanted and has tried to pursue more, but she just gets shut down, shut out and ignored. But she knows without a doubt that he will be there for her, if she needs him.

Taylor has gotten into a bad situation with her boyfriend and needs to get away for a while, so she calls Renegade to see if she can stay with him for a week or so. Renegade can tell by her voice that something is wrong, even though she denies it. But when she doesn’t show up on time, Renegade goes looking for her and he doesn’t like what he finds.

After seeing the state that Taylor is in, he decides that he is going to need to keep tabs on her now ex-boyfriend. But doing so requires keeping tabs on the Red Dragons MC, since Taylor got herself mixed-up with Tank, their Road Captain.

Taylor goes with home with Renegade so she can recuperate at his house until she can go home. But she’s not going to go home without making one last play for Renegade to see if they can have something more and real together. If they do get together, she plans on staying with him. But if they don’t get together, she has decided that it is time to move on once and for all.

Coming up next in the Devil Chaser’s MC series is Goliath’s story and it looks to be an angsty, promising read. We got to see more of Goliath and his personality in this story and this hottie deserves a good woman. We also got to see some appearances by other club members and Bishop & Tessa and Bobby & Courtney.
This story has good bones, but, just not enough meat on them. Noah "Renegade" Hudson is a sexy member of the Devil Chasers MC who has been in love with his best friends' sister Taylor since she was seventeen. Renegade fights his attraction to Taylor and she moves on with another guy from another MC as time moves on and she becomes a young adult. Since this book is rather short, I won't divulge too many spoilers, I'll just say that an event occurs that the police should have been called. I understand MC's take care of business on their own terms, but this part of the story would have had been more believable if the police were involved. You'll understand what I'm talking about if you read this book. There is a MC cliche abduction and rescue, and Renegade reveals a secret from his past that explains his reluctance to have a relationship with Taylor. I had just about guessed what this was all about by this point in the book anyway. Renegade and Taylor are happy when the story ends but there is a cliffhanger that involves the sexy VP of the club and a girl the club hires as the new bartender. I didn't dislike this story, I just didn't "feel" it. Renegade is supposed to be totally alpha but to me he was a little too whiney and indecisive. This book had too many empty spaces where more story could have been.
